21 TV Shows to Watch This Summer
The coming summer, arguably, may not have the sheer volume of high profile shows that we have become accustomed to in recent years. But that certainly doesn't mean there won't be anything to watch. In fact, the highlights—led by the returns of Twin Peaks and Game of Thrones—include some of this year's most-anticipated shows regardless of season.
Below you can find details on the most notable TV debuts this summer (both new and returning shows), ordered by date. For more premiere dates and details on every upcoming show (including those not profiled here), visit our 2017 TV Premiere Calendar.
Difficult People
Season 3 starts August 8 on Hulu
One of TV's most likable series about entirely unlikeable characters, Hulu's original comedy Difficult People returns for a 10-episode 3rd season this August (with new episodes streaming weekly, as is the norm with Hulu). Joining returning stars Billy Eichner and Julie Klausner (plus co-stars Andrea Martin, James Urbaniak, and Gabourey Sidibe) is Star Trek's John Cho, who will play Billy's love interest this season.
