Summer Music Preview: 37 Key Albums
While there's still no official word on whether the summer will bring long-in-the-works new albums from Arcade Fire, Beck, LCD Soundsystem, or Queens of the Stone Age, the coming months will definitely see new releases from Lorde, Broken Social Scene, Katy Perry, Big Boi, Lana Del Rey, Phoenix, Ride, and more.
Browse our collection of the summer's most notable new albums—as well as several noteworthy re-releases and compilations—below, where you can also listen to songs from each release.
The OutKast member's first solo album since 2012's Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (not counting the Phantogram collaboration Big Grams) will include contributions from Killer Mike, Jeezy, and Maroon 5's Adam Levine. The final tracklist still hasn't been released, but other likely tracks include collaborations with Cee Lo Green, Gucci Mane, and the late Pimp C. Big Boi has so many tracks, in fact, that he has stated that he will release another batch sometime between Christmas and next summer.
