Debuts July 25 on Hulu. Hulu's next big swing at a major hit to follow Handmaid's Tale is an epic-scaled psychological horror series from producer J.J. Abrams and best-selling author Stephen King. As the title suggests, Castle Rock is set in the "Stephen King multiverse"—many of his works take place in that fictional Maine small town—though it tells a new, original story. André Holland, Sissy Spacek, Melanie Lynskey, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy, Terry O’Quinn, and Scott Glenn star. King himself is not writing the series, but Manhattan's Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason are, while Michael Uppendahl (American Horror Story, Mad Men) directs the opener. The rollout will be similar to that for Handmaid, with the first three episodes streaming on July 25th and the subsequent seven episodes arriving weekly after that.
