Debuts June 3 on HBO. Already being described as Empire set within the media industry, HBO's new drama series follows the ups and downs of a family-owned global media conglomerate, whose wealthy, powerful leader/patriarch (Brian Cox) is absolutely, positively, 100% not modeled after Rupert Murdoch, or so the official word goes. The series comes from Peep Show co-creator Jesse Armstrong and is produced by Adam McKay, who also directs the opener. Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Matthew Macfadyen, Sarah Snook, and Alan Ruck also star.
