It's hard to find a description of Canadian slacker-rock artist Mac DeMarco that doesn't use the word "goofy," and this new 13-song set (which follows 2015's Another One) probably won't change that. But This Old Dog does find DeMarco adopting a longer and more serious recording process than he typically uses.
