After joining up with Ted Leo as The Both for an album and tour in 2014, the singer-songwriter switches back into solo mode for the first time since 2012's Charmer. Leo does, however, make an appearance on Mental Illness, a mostly acoustic, folk-inspired set that Mann describes as her "saddest, slowest" album. Also performing on the LP are Jonathan Coulton and John Roderick.
