Debuts March 21 on Syfy. Yes, it's another DC Comics drama, though it doesn't necessarily center on the character you're thinking of. This Superman prequel series from David S. Goyer (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time) is (mostly) set decades before the destruction of Superman's titular home planet. So long before, in fact, that the protagonist is the Man of Steel's grandfather, Seg-El, played by British newcomer Cameron Cuffe.
In fact, it's virtually an all-British cast (thanks in part to being filmed in Northern Ireland), with Georgina Campbell co-starring as Lyta Zod and Ian McElhinney playing Val-El, Superman's great great grandfather. Though a portion of Krypton will take place in the present (thanks to a bit of time travel), the show won't cross over with other DC series.
