Debuts April 13 on Netflix. Sure, there's a robot who says, "Danger, Will Robinson." But that, a very basic premise, and a title are just about all that this new Netflix series appears to share with the campy 1960s sci-fi classic upon which it's loosely based. Expect a lot more action—and some impressive-looking special effects—for this family-friendly adventure that takes place three decades from now, when space travel has become common. When a ship carrying interplanetary colonists veers way off course, the Robinson family must team with a few of their shipmates to survive on a hostile planet. Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, and Parker Posey star, while Game of Thrones vet Neil Marshall directs several episodes. Judging solely from the trailer, it already looks much better than that lousy 1998 film adaptation.
