The answer may be yes, given that the next few months will see the returns of acclaimed programs like The Americans, Game of Thrones, Veep, and Catastrophe. There are also some promising newcomers headed to the small screen in the coming weeks, including several Netflix comedies, the latest from Shonda Rhimes, and a drama produced by Steven Soderbergh.
Below, we highlight 30 intriguing shows scheduled to debut between now and early May, listed in order by premiere date. (For information on other upcoming TV debuts, visit our TV Premiere Calendar.)
Eight comedians (including sketch/improv veterans Lauren Lapkus, Kate Berlant, John Early, Paul Downs, and Tim Robinson) each get a half-hour episode to showcase an array of original characters they've created in this new Netflix sketch comedy series. There were no rules or restrictions on what each comedian could produce, so expect weird and varied results.
