The Family
Debuts March 3 on ABC
It could be ABC's best new drama series of the season. This soapy thriller from ShondaLand graduate Jenna Bans centers on a slick small-town California mayor (Joan Allen) whose plans to run for governor are upended—or possibly boosted—by the return of her son (Zach Gilford, Friday Night Lights), who was presumed dead after being kidnapped a dozen years ago. But is he really who he says he is? Andrew McCarthy, Rupert Graves (Sherlock), Alison Pill (The Newsroom), and Liam James (The Way, Way Back) also star.
