Spring TV Preview: The 30 Most-Anticipated Shows
Does TV save its best shows for the end of its season? The answer may be yes, given that the next few months will see the returns of acclaimed programs like The Americans, Game of Thrones, Veep, and Catastrophe. There are also some promising newcomers headed to the small screen in the coming weeks, including several Netflix comedies, the latest from Shonda Rhimes, and a drama produced by Steven Soderbergh.
Below, we highlight 30 intriguing shows scheduled to debut between now and early May, listed in order by premiere date. (For information on other upcoming TV debuts, visit our TV Premiere Calendar.)
This new Starz drama series is loosely based on the 2009 feature film by Steven Soderbergh, who serves as one of the producers on the series. Riley Keough (Magic Mike) stars as a law student who finds lucrative side work in the world of "transactional relationships," alongside Mary Lynn Rajskub and Paul Sparks. In addition to a conventional weekly rollout on Starz, all 13 episodes will be available to watch immediately on demand on April 10th.
