Spring TV Preview: The 30 Most-Anticipated Shows
Does TV save its best shows for the end of its season? The answer may be yes, given that the next few months will see the returns of acclaimed programs like The Americans, Game of Thrones, Veep, and Catastrophe. There are also some promising newcomers headed to the small screen in the coming weeks, including several Netflix comedies, the latest from Shonda Rhimes, and a drama produced by Steven Soderbergh.
Below, we highlight 30 intriguing shows scheduled to debut between now and early May, listed in order by premiere date. (For information on other upcoming TV debuts, visit our TV Premiere Calendar.)
For his first major TV role since Breaking Bad, Aaron Paul stars as a member of a family involved in a controversial, Scientology-like religious cult. The Hulu original drama comes from Jessica Goldberg (Parenthood) and is produced by Parenthood/Friday Night Lights vet Jason Katims. The entire cast is a strong one, with Michelle Monaghan, Hugh Dancy, Minka Kelly, Kathleen Turner, and Rockmond Dunbar also starring.
