Drama series debuts September 19 on NBC
One of just two new NBC shows this fall—and that's before NBC eliminates its 10:00 hour—Quantum Leap is a reboot of the beloved 1989-93 NBC series that originally starred Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett, who used an experimental time travel device to temporarily inhabit the bodies of various people throughout recent history, using each "leap" to correct a mistake. The new series actually continues the story and basic episodic anthology format and finds a new scientific team (including the new traveler, played by Raymond Lee, plus Caitlin Bassett, and Ernie Hudson, among others) restarting the project three decades later.
Peacock subscribers can also catch every episode of the original Quantum Leap series, which was recently added to the streaming service.
