Out September 7 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch
An HD remaster of the well-regarded 2010 Wii platformer Sonic Colors, Sonic Colors: Ultimate brings the game to new platforms (including non-Nintendo hardware for the first time) in addition to modernizing the visuals. The 3D gameplay still takes place in Dr. Eggman's interstellar amusement park, but there are several tweaks including the addition of a new "Wisp" power-up called the Jade Ghost, which gives Sonic the ability to fly and move through objects. There's also a new attack mechanic as well as a new "Rival Rush" gameplay mode that offers a speed challenge. While Ultimate mainly remakes the Wii version of the original game, it does incorporate a few elements exclusive to the DS version such as the Sweet Mountain level.
