Miniseries debuts September 7 on FX
Debuting this month after a full-year delay, the third season of Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story anthology is set during the later years of the Bill Clinton administration and focuses on the Monica Lewinsky scandal. The real-life Lewinsky serves as a producer and consultant and will be played in the series by Booksmart's Beanie Feldstein, while Clive Owen portrays Bill Clinton, Sarah Paulson plays Linda Tripp, Edie Falco is Hillary Clinton, and Annaleigh Ashford is Paula Jones. Other cast members include Margo Martindale (playing Tripp advisor Lucianne Goldberg), Cobie Smulders (as Ann Coulter), Dan Bakkedahl (as Kenneth Starr), Blair Underwood (as Vernon Jordan), Mira Sorvino (as Lewinsky's mom), and Billy Eichner (as Matt Drudge). Jeffrey Toobin's best-seller A Vast Conspiracy serves as the source material, while the adaptation comes from relative newcomer Sarah Burgess. The 10-episode series kicks off with back-to-back episodes on night one.
