Will everybody be talking about Everybody's Talking About Jamie this awards season? It's hard to say, but as we write this the first few reviews are certainly positive. Originally targeted for a theatrical release in 2020 (and then early 2021) but now an Amazon Prime Video exclusive after the streamer acquired the film from Disney's 20th Century Studios in May, Jamie is an adaptation of the hit London stage musical of the same name, which in turn is based on a true story of an aspiring teen drag queen, played here by newcomer Max Harwood. Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant also star for director Jonathan Butterell, who also directed the stage version.
