September Preview: 22 TV Shows & New Movies to Watch at Home
In the gallery above, our editors have selected the coming month's most promising TV shows (including limited series and specials) as well as movies available to watch at home through VOD and digital purchases, listed in order by premiere date. Many of these titles haven't been reviewed yet (and we haven't seen them), but they are the most intriguing new releases on paper, at least, arriving in September.
Season 2 debuts September 4 on Prime Video. Eric Kripke's darkly comedic superhero series based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson returns for a second season that early reviews suggest could be better and deeper than season 1. You're the Worst's Aya Cash joins the series as Stormfront, and other new faces in smaller roles include Goran Višnjić and Patton Oswalt. A new Aisha Tyler-hosted aftershow, Inside the Boys, also streams weekly with each episode.
