The sequel to Metro: Last Light and Metro: 2033 is another post-apocalyptic, survival FPS, in this case set in the remains of Russia in the year 2036 (20 years after a nuclear war). The sandbox-style game allows for full non-linear exploration of an open world (a first for the series) as well as an ongoing story—picking up where Last Light's "Redemption" storyline left off—that ultimately spans a full year. There are still plenty of mutants, but you'll get to encounter them above ground in addition to beneath the surface, as your journeys take you well beyond Moscow and its nuclear winter.
