The Kickstarter-funded debut game from new developer Warhorse Studios (led by Mafia creator Daniel Vavra) is an open-world RPG set during the Middle Ages—specifically, in the Kingdom of Bohemia circa the 15th century.
The goal is historical accuracy rather than fantasy, with developers consulting architects and historians to painstakingly recreate real-world figures and locations. (Even the music will be period accurate.) The ambitious game is aiming for deep character development, a non-linear story, and difficult combat (unless you talk your way out of fighting).
