Horror series debuts October 9 on Showtime (and October 7 on Showtime apps)
A 10-episode adaptation of the acclaimed 2008 Swedish horror film (which itself was adapted from a novel and was also previously remade for American audiences as a 2010 Matt Reeves film), this Showtime series stars Demián Bichir as the father of a 12-year-old girl (Madison Taylor Baez). In fact, he's been the father of a 12-year-old girl for roughly a decade: She's an unaging vampire, and he has assigned himself the task of keeping her well-supplied with human blood. Grace Gummer, Anika Noni Rose, Nick Stahl, and Kevin Carroll also star. The series adaptation comes from Andrew Hinderaker, a playwright and writer on another Showtime horror series, Penny Dreadful.
