Created by Veep's Armando Iannucci, HBO's ensemble near-future satire set aboard a luxury tourist spacecraft plagued by a multitude of problems finally returns for a second (and likely final) season over two years after it last aired.
▣ Big Mouth (Netflix, 10/28)
Your favorite Hormone Monsters return for a sixth season of the animated Netflix hit from
Nick Kroll, whose first Netflix stand-up special also just launched on the streaming service.
▣ Chucky (Syfy/USA, 10/5)
Again airing on two networks, the series spinoff from the Child's Play film franchise returns for a second season that transports the show to a new setting: a Catholic reform school.

After a pandemic-related today, the third and final season of
the acclaimed teen comedy set in Northern Ireland in the 1990s finally arrives in America, via Netflix.

MSNBC's Alex Wagner takes over (from Anderson Cooper, among others) as host for Netflix's revival of the ABC competition series that originally aired from 2001-08 (and, before that, was a Belgian series).
▣ Sherman's Showcase (IFC, 10/26)
Season 2 of the variety show spoof series from South Side's Bashir Salahuddin and Diallo Riddle includes guest appearances by Issa Rae, John Legend, Chris Hardwick, Paul F. Tompkins, Chance the Rapper, Amanda Seales, Jay Pharoah, and Ted Lange, among others.
▣ The Vow (HBO and HBO Max, 10/17)
HBO's documentary about the NXIVM cult returns for a follow-up miniseries that includes new interviews with now-imprisoned founder Keith Raniere and further addresses the activities of co-founder Nancy Salzman, among other topics.
▣ The Walking Dead (AMC, 10/2)
The long-running show's final eight episodes begin airing October 2nd and arrive weekly through the November 20 series finale.
