Season 4 debuts October 19 on IFC
Returning after a lengthy, pandemic-induced hiatus, the "53rd" (really, the 4th) season of IFC's acclaimed documentary spoof anthology from SNL grads Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, and Rhys Thomas begins with both halves of a two-part, John Mulaney-scripted premiere lampooning the Werner Herzog film Burden of Dreams. Starring in that episode are Alexander Skarsgård and Nicholas Braun, while future episodes—taking on My Octopus Teacher, When We Were Kings, and the works of Agnes Varda, among others—will feature Cate Blanchett (a returnee from last season), Jamie Demetriou, Jonathan Pryce, Harriet Walter, John Rhys-Davies, and more. And Helen Mirren returns as host.
