Drama debuts October 14 on Freevee
Set in 1990s Calgary, Freevee's high school drama is based on the best-selling memoir of the same name by twin sisters and Grammy-nominated indie pop artists Tegan and Sara Quin, who are played in the show by TikTok stars Railey and Seazynn Gilliland. Guest stars include Cobie Smulders, Kyle Bornheimer, and Nate Corddry, while Clea DuVall (Happiest Season) and Laura Kittrell (Insecure) serve as showrunners. Critics enjoyed the opening episodes when they premiered at TIFF earlier in September, finding it a "relatable" and "immersive" teen drama that should appeal even to viewers unfamiliar with the music duo.
