The month ahead will bring the highly anticipated return of HBO hit Succession, Denis Villeneuve's long-delayed Dune movie, a prequel to The Sopranos, and (unsurprisingly) a lot of horror. In the gallery on this page, our editors have selected the most interesting TV and movie titles debuting at home in the next month, listed in order by premiere date.
Bingo Hell and Black as Night stream October 1 on Prime Video
Madres and The Manor stream October 8 on Prime Video
Last fall, Amazon introduced a new horror film series under the "Welcome to Blumhouse" banner. The first four films that streamed last year ranged from fairly good (Black Box) to not so great (The Lie). Will this year's batch be better? This week brings Bingo Hell, a horror comedy about a senior citizen who rallies her low-income community against a wealthy developer who takes over the local bingo hall, and Black as Night, an action-focused tale set in New Orleans, where a teenage girl seeks revenge against the vampires who murdered her mother. Next week adds two more films: Madres, set in a 1970s California farm community, and The Manor, which stars Barbara Hershey and Bruce Davidson and is set in a haunted nursing home.
