The month ahead will bring the highly anticipated return of HBO hit Succession, Denis Villeneuve's long-delayed Dune movie, a prequel to The Sopranos, and (unsurprisingly) a lot of horror. In the gallery on this page, our editors have selected the most interesting TV and movie titles debuting at home in the next month, listed in order by premiere date.
Drama series debuts October 6 on CBS
Since the original CSI went off the air in 2015 after 15 (!) hugely successful seasons, few broadcast television shows have been able to reach an average of 11 million viewers per episode (a figure that CSI hit in its lowest-rated season). So it makes sense that the broadcast network most averse to change and novelty would bring the series back for another go. Originally ordered as a limited series but now a potentially ongoing series, Vegas serves as a present-day continuation of the first CSI and returns some of the original cast, including William Petersen, Jorja Fox, Wallace Langham, and Paul Guilfoyle. They are joined by newcomers such as Matt Lauria, Paula Newsome, Mandeep Dhillon, and Mel Rodriguez.
