18 TV Shows to Watch in October
In the gallery above, our editors have selected the most interesting TV shows (including TV movies and specials) debuting this month, listed in order by premiere date.
Series debuts October 9 on Netflix. For its very first music competition series, Netflix is changing the usual formula a bit: It's all rapping, no singing. The hip-hop contest will enlist amateur MCs from around the country who will battle it out to impress judges Chance the Rapper, T.I., and Cardi B (though not necessarily in that order; obviously, Chance will occupy the third chair) and guests like Snoop Dogg, Big Boi, Killer Mike, Lupe Fiasco, Miguel, Hit-Boy, John Legend, Anderson .Paak, Nipsey Hussle, and more big names. Netflix will stream the episodes in three weekly batches, beginning October 9 with the four audition rounds.
