Jennifer Lawrence stars as an American soldier who suffers a traumatic brain injury while serving in Afghanistan and struggles to readjust to life at home in New Orleans in this A24-produced drama from first-time director Lila Neugebauer. Atlanta's Brian Tyree Henry was just nominated for a Gotham award for his supporting performance as a mechanic with whom she forges a bond, while Linda Emond and Jayne Houdyshell also star. Reviews following Causeway's TIFF premiere were solid, with critics pointing to the chemistry between Lawrence and Henry as the highlight of this slow-burn character study.
