Writer-director Beth de Araújo's debut feature follows a kindergarten teacher (Stefanie Estes) as she meets with her sisterhood and recruits a few of them to harass two innocent women. Shot over four nights in real-time with minimal cuts, the film mainly consists of footage captured on the last day. The technique, on of the many decisions that earned de Araújo a nomination for Breakthrough Director at this year’s Gotham Awards, heightens the tension of a film that can be an unpleasant watch, but maybe that should be the case when the film's goal is to depict contemporary white supremacy.
