It's hard to believe that it has now been been two decades since the New York indie music scene experienced a rebirth, led by bands such as The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, Interpol, TV on the Radio, The Moldy Peaches, Liars, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, among others. Those eight bands are the subject of Meet Me in the Bathroom, a documentary adapted from Lizzy Goodman's recent book chronicling the turn-of-the-century New York music scene. Fans of any of the bands mentioned should expect a treasure trove of rare footage from the era as well as new interviews.
In addition to this month's theatrical rollout, Bathroom will also stream on Showtime beginning November 25.
