21 TV Shows to Watch in November and December
In the gallery above, our editors have selected the most interesting TV shows (including TV movies and specials) debuting during the final months of 2019, listed in order by premiere date.
Series debuts November 1 on Apple TV+. Apple's best launch title is the latest sci-fi drama from Ronald D. Moore, best known for his Battlestar Galactica and Outlander adaptations and his work on Star Trek:TNG and DS9. It's set in an alternate history 1969 in which the Soviet Union lands a man on the moon before the United States, prolonging the space race between the two superpowers (which, in turn, leads to other deviations from the world as we know it). Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, and Sarah Jones head the cast. Critics think the somewhat slow-going show improves as it progresses (so give it a chance if you are unimpressed by the opener), and Apple has already ordered a second season.
