84 The Crown: Season 3

Season 3 debuts November 17 on Netflix. Netflix's acclaimed drama series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II spans the years 1964-77 (covering both terms of Prime Minister Howard Wilson, played by Jason Watkins) in its third season. That major time jump necessitates major casting changes, and the most notable one finds Oscar winner Olivia Colman taking over as the Queen from Claire Foy. Tobias Menzies similarly assumes the role of Prince Philip from Matt Smith, while Princess Margaret is now played by Helena Bonham Carter. Ben Daniels, Charles Dance, Josh O’Connor, Erin Doherty, and Emerald Fennell also join the cast.
