Innocence director Lucile Hadzihalilovic’s first feature in 10 years tells the dream- (or maybe more nightmare-) like story of young boys and their mothers living in an isolated seaside community. When the film premiered at TIFF in 2015, the film cast a spell on many critics with its hypnotic mood and arresting visuals from cinematographer Manu Dacosse (The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears).
