Release date: May 25, 2018
The famously difficult action-RPG Dark Souls is one of the best games released for the prior generation of consoles, and it was followed by two equally well-received sequels. In May, the original game will come to the newest generation of hardware for the first time.
The remastered version of Dark Souls runs at resolutions up to 4K at 60FPS on the highest-end machines (including PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and capable PCs), though even the Switch version will feature superior images (1080p at 30FPS) to the original. The new version, which includes the Artorias of the Abyss expansion, will also allow up to six players in multiplayer mode.
It's the first time any Dark Souls game will appear on a Nintendo device (and it's also the first portable version of the game in franchise history, if you use the Switch's handheld mode).
