BONUS: Metroid Prime 4

Release date: tbd

Technically, it hasn't been ruled out: The first Metroid Prime game for the Switch (indeed, Nintendo's first major Metroid Prime game in over a decade) could arrive before year's end. It just seems highly unlikely that we'll see it before 2019. The project was first revealed at E3 last summer, but virtually nothing is known about the new game, though it reportedly will not come from the developers of the first three Metroid Prime games.

Also announced but not expected to arrive before 2019 is the first Pokemon RPG for the Switch. That's another release where Nintendo has remained tight-lipped on the details, other than acknowledging its existence.
