Or is it Mighty No. 9 #2? Like that hugely disappointing, crowdfunded 2016 game that was modeled after the 30-year-old Mega Man platformer franchise, Mega Man 11 ditches the standard 2D pixel-art style of its predecessors in favor of a more modern 2.5D look. Fortunately, early glimpses suggest that Capcom's execution is a bit stronger.
This first numbered Mega Man game in eight years (out this year for all three consoles plus PC) isn't the only treat that fans can expect in 2018. All eight Mega Man X games will be released for PS4, XB1, and Switch for the first time this summer. (They will also get a PC release.) And the Switch will also get Amiibo-compatible ports of Mega Man Legacy Collection (containing the first six games) and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (games 7 through 10 plus DLC) this spring.
