Monkey movies are making a comeback.
With two big-time movies starring primates—Kong: Skull Island and War for the Planet of the Apes—bowing in 2017, we thought it was time to rank all of the monkey movies of the past 25 years by Metascore.
This 2006 comedy about a middle-aged video game programmer who moves in with his grandma does, in fact, have a monkey in it. The primate even “drives” in the film.
As you surely assumed, Grandma’s Boy was panned by critics. The New York Times simply stated that it’s “a pathetic stoner movie.”
