Monkey movies are making a comeback.
With two big-time movies starring primates—Kong: Skull Island and War for the Planet of the Apes—bowing in 2017, we thought it was time to rank all of the monkey movies of the past 25 years by Metascore.
After being attacked by a military group called Alpha-Omega led by the Colonel (Woody Harrelson), Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his group of apes must fight for the survival of their kind.
“It’s engrossing every inch of the way, with casualties, infighting, character flaws, war mongering and some delicious grandstanding from Harrelson,” according to Screen International.
