Oh, they must mean old Ben Kenobi. Disney's latest Star Wars series—likely a miniseries, though one never knows—finds Ewan McGregor returning to the titular role he played in the three prequel films. The action picks up on Tatooine a decade following the events of Revenge of the Sith (which means that it's also roughly a decade before A New Hope), with Kenobi looking after a very young Luke Skywalker. Also returning from the films is Hayden Christensen, here playing Darth Vader, and Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse (reprising their roles as Owen and Beru), while newcomers include Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, Maya Erskine, Benny Safdie, and O'Shea Jackson Jr.. Deborah Chow, who has worked on The Mandalorian, directs the series in its entirety, while the scripts come from Joby Harold (who was hired to rewrite the series after Disney didn't like what Hossein Amini was writing and shut down production in early 2020, spurring rumors that the series would be canceled). Two episodes stream on day one—which now comes a few days after a previously announced premiere date—with four more to follow over the next four weeks.
