Comedic docuseries debuts May 19 on Netflix
Comedian Adam Conover, the host of the long-running (but now sadly defunct) truTV series Adam Ruins Everything, is back for a not dissimilar limited series for Netflix (produced by the Obamas' Higher Ground) in which he brings a comedic touch to an otherwise well-researched deep dive into a particular topic, debunking widely held beliefs along the way. Here, the topic for the entire series—that titular G word—is the American federal government, and how it impacts our everyday lives in often surprising ways. The series builds upon the recent book The Fifth Risk by The Big Short author Michael Lewis.
