New animated series debuts May 4 on Disney+. May the 4th be with you. This year's Star Wars Day brings another Star Wars series to Disney's streaming service, and this time, it's animated. The Bad Batch centers on the titular group of elite, uniquely skilled clones first introduced in The Clone Wars. (Having non-identical clones seems to defeat the point of making clones in the first place, but we'll let it slide.) The series comes from Dave Filoni, a veteran of both The Mandalorian and The Clone Wars as well as Star Wars Rebels (and Avatar: The Last Airbender) and frequent collaborator Jennifer Corbett. The special 70-minute premiere will be followed by three new episodes each Friday, beginning May 7.
