Movie debuts May 14 on Netflix. Joe Wright directs Amy Adams in a Tracy Letts-scripted adaptation of A.J. Finn's novel, itself sort of (but unofficially) a variation of the Rear Window formula. Julianne Moore, Gary Oldman, and Jennifer Jason Leigh also star. 20th Century Studios originally intended to release the film in theaters a few years ago, but it was delayed first by poor test screenings (it was subsequently re-edited) and then by the pandemic, and Netflix stepped in to secure the film's rights.
