Season 2 debuts May 8 on Netflix. As the number of new shows starts dwindling, it may be time to reconsider a few titles you may have slept on. A dark comedy starring Linda Cardellini and Christina Applegate as widows who meet in a support group (and wind up with plenty of secrets to hide, which we won't spoil here), Netflix's Dead to Me certainly wasn't the best new show of 2019—critics gave it the first season a decent 67 when it first appeared last year—but it eventually landed on multiple year-end top 10 lists and earned Applegate an Emmy nomination, suggesting that it may have been underrated. Now it's back for a second season that adds Diana Maria Riva to the cast and also returns James Marsden and Natalie Morales.
