Limited series debuts May 15 on Hulu. It's another irreverent take on historical fiction from the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of The Favourite, Tony McNamara. This time, he traces the rise of Catherine the Great (played by Elle Fanning) in 18th century Russia, though don't expect too much historical accuracy in a series that embraces absurdist comedy even more than The Favourite. (Despite the costumes, this is a very modern show.) Nicholas Hoult, Phoebe Fox, and Adam Godley also star. All 10 episodes will be available to binge at once.
