Liev Schreiber stars as boxer Chuck Wepner in this biopic directed by Philippe Falardeau (Monsieur Lazhar, The Good Lie). Known as the “The Bayonne Bleeder,” Wepner was the inspiration for Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky, but he was never able to capitalize on his notoriety. Also starring Elisabeth Moss and Naomi Watts as Wepner’s second and third wives, the film was well-received when it premiered in Venice last year (under its original title, The Bleeder).
