Vacation and Game Night directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein get their shot at a franchise with this effects-heavy adaptation of the beloved tabletop role-playing game. Chris Pine leads a group of misfits, comprised of Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, and Sophia Lillis, against a con man played by Hugh Grant and the all-powerful Red Wizards. Along with plenty of nods to fans of the game expect plenty of comedy from Daley and Goldstein, who got their feature start with the screenplay for Horrible Bosses.
