Bobby Farrelly makes his solo directing debut and reunites with his Kingpin star, Woody Harrelson, for this remake of the award-winning Spanish film Campeones. Harrelson stars as a minor-league basketball coach assigned community service to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. It’s a heartwarming, good-natured, underdog story with a screenplay by Mark Rizzo and a strong supporting cast, including Ernie Hudson, Kaitlin Olson, and Cheech Marin. While Campeones won the Goya for Best Picture and Bobby’s brother Peter won the Oscar for Best Picture with Green Book, his first solo directing effort, expectations probably shouldn’t be that high for Bobby's debut, but you never know.
