Miniseries debuts March 21 on Nat Geo. Arriving almost a year behind schedule (thanks to a pandemic-related production delay) the latest season of Nat Geo's Genius anthology focuses on the life of singer Aretha Franklin, played by Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo. Courtney B. Vance, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Pauletta Washington, Patrice Covington, David Cross, and Malcolm Barrett also star in the series, which will air across four consecutive nights with two episodes per night. (Episodes will also stream the following day on Hulu.) The Genius anthology will return next year with an MLK-themed fourth season, but as a Disney+ exclusive.
