Documentary debuts March 1 on Netflix. Rapper Christopher Wallace, better known as The Notorious B.I.G. (or Biggie Smalls), would have been 48 years old last year when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Obviously, instead, it was another posthumous honor for the man considered one of hip hop's all-time greats. Made in cooperation with his estate, this new Sean Combs-produced doc focuses not on his 1997 death but on Biggie's life, combining rare footage with new interviews with family and friends. The film comes from veteran music video director Emmett Malloy, who previously shot documentaries and videos for Vampire Weekend, Jack White, and more.
