Featuring an Oscar-nominated screenplay by Nobel Prize-winning writer Kazuo Ishiguro, this well-reviewed adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's 1952 film Ikiru (which was in turn based on a Tolstoy story) features a terrific performance by Bill Nighy as a terminally ill office worker attempting to turn his final days into something memorable.
