Part 2 debuts June 11 on Netflix
Netflix's second-best French-language original series (after Call My Agent, though your ranking may differ) returns for the second half of its debut season with five new episodes. Lupin is a brisk and suspenseful thriller following gentleman thief Assane Diop (played by Omar Sy) as he seeks to avenge his father's death and steal a necklace that once belonged to Marie Antoinette. When they debuted in January, the first five episodes were an unexpectedly massive hit for Netflix—becoming the streamer's most-watched non-English title—and also received positive reviews from critics.
A third batch of episodes is in the works—though if you get antsy and start searching Google for "Lupin the 3rd," you definitely won't find what you are looking for (though you will find another series inspired by the century-old character of Arsène Lupin).
